Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we receive and store:

• Your email address
• Your name
• Your profile picture URL (if available)

Trading Data

When you use our Service, we store trading information that you provide, including:

• Brokerage account names and types (e.g., "Robinhood Individual")
• Trade details: ticker symbols, dates, quantities, prices, and trade types
• Option contract details: strikes, expirations, and option types
• Calculated profit and loss data
• Notes you add to your trades
• Tags you create for organizing trades
• Trading goals you set
• Daily journal entries

Imported Data

When you import CSV or JSON files from brokerages (such as Robinhood or Schwab), we parse and store the transaction data contained in those files. We do not store the original files after processing.

Third-Party Brokerage Connections (SnapTrade)

If you choose to connect your brokerage account through SnapTrade integration, we receive and store:

• Account identifiers and names from your connected brokerage
• Transaction history synchronized from your brokerage
• Current position data (holdings, quantities, cost basis)
• Account balance information (cash, buying power)
• Performance metrics provided by your brokerage

Important: SnapTrade is a third-party service with its own privacy policy and terms of service. We encourage you to review SnapTrade's policies before connecting your brokerage account. The Company is not responsible for SnapTrade's data practices or security.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

• Authenticate you and maintain your session
• Display your trading journal and analytics
• Calculate profit/loss statistics and performance metrics
• Provide features like calendar views, charts, and position tracking
• Synchronize data with connected brokerage accounts (if enabled)

What We Do NOT Do

• We do not sell your data. Your trading information is yours alone.
• We do not share your data with third parties except as required by law or as necessary to provide third-party integrations you have authorized.
• We do not use your data for advertising. There are no ads on this platform.
• We do not store your brokerage login credentials. Third-party connections are handled securely through SnapTrade's OAuth flow.
• We do not execute trades on your behalf. This is a journaling tool only.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a secure Azure SQL Database. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
• Secure authentication via Google OAuth
• Database encryption at rest
• Access controls limiting data access to authenticated users only
• Secure credential storage for third-party integrations

Disclaimer: While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. You use the Service and provide data at your own risk. We cannot guarantee absolute security and are not liable for any unauthorized access to your data.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Trading records use soft deletion, meaning they can be restored if accidentally deleted. If you wish to permanently delete your account and all associated data, please contact us.

When you disconnect a brokerage account, we retain the synchronized transaction data unless you explicitly request its deletion.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data through the application interface
• Correct inaccurate data by editing your trades
• Delete your trades and account data
• Disconnect third-party brokerage connections at any time
• Request a copy of your data

Cookies and Local Storage

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We also use local storage to remember your preferences (such as theme and selected account). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with third-party services including:

• Google OAuth: For user authentication
• SnapTrade: For optional brokerage account synchronization
• Microsoft Azure: For hosting and data storage

Each of these services has its own privacy policy and terms. Your use of these services through our platform is subject to their respective policies.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.
